Poppy Seed Half Moon Cookies

This is a fantastic recipe, and even though the dough breaks easily, the finished product looks lovely and appetising. You can use all sorts of different fillings, by replacing the poppy seeds with chopped figs, dates or apricots. (Some cinnamon goes nicely apricot filling.) This makes about 20 half-moon cookies.

American Pancakes

This makes about 8 pancakes.

120g buckwheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
110 ml organic unsweetened soya milk or skimmed milk

150g wholemeal flour
2tsp baking powder
150g crunchy peanut butter (with no added sugar or salt)
