Philosophy
The thinking and inspiration behind this website is that life’s too short and precious to take all the fun out of it. Everything in moderation is the name of the game.
Several years ago now I was unhappy with my weight and appearance and so decided to change my life and lifestyle… not in a drastic or boot-camp way but rather with a steady and consistent plan that nonetheless produced dramatic results.
Now, two dress sizes smaller; happier; healthier and confident again to wear the dresses and outfits that I want, I hope to share some of the “secrets” of my success.
The recipes that you’ll find here of cookies, cakes and other treats have been amended through trail and error to get the right balance of sweetness and “treatness” with the concern for maintaining a healthier and some-what calorie conscious diet.
This is no size-zero whitewash or a site full of drastic diet tips but instead a site full of fun and delicious treats that, in some cases, use 1/5th of the sugar and always a better fat substitute than you will find in the traditional versions.
Based on my experience and my love of cooking and baking I want to show you that if you take responsibility for the food you prepare and consume, you can still enjoy the finer things in life without the overwhelming burden of guilt!
Feel free to experiment with the ingredients and swap things around – that’s what I’ve done – but be prepared for some disasters on the way if you do!
These treats together with a healthy eating plan and some exercise will go a long way to helping you achieve a happier life.
